Each Monday, along with What Do We Do All Day? No Twiddle Twaddle, Smiling Like Sunshine, Mommy and Me Book Club, and Mouse Grows, Mouse Learns, we will be co-hosting The Children’s Bookshelf.
The Children’s Bookshelf gives bloggers the chance to link up any book or reading-related post, creating a collection of amazing posts in one place to help you inspire a love of reading in our children.
Each week, I will feature a number of my favorite posts that were linked up in the previous The Children’s Bookshelf.
I think My Little Bookcase shares fabulous books for children and I hope you find our recommendations, activities, and tips useful. But we are only one tiny resource, and there are so many other wonderful books and ideas out there. What Do We Do All Day? provides 7 suggestions to help you find good books for children. The suggestions are practical and informative.
Famiglia and Seoul: 123 Counting Sensory Bin– An activity based around the book, Duck and Goose 123. This activity could be adapted to suit most number/counting books.
Adventures in Mommydom: Adapting Classic Books to Younger Children– A great way to introduce and expose children to some more sophisticated literature and vocabulary.
Playing by The Book: Has collected a great list of books featuring characters with disabilities
